On Thursdays during Lent (March 5 - April 2), Lenten Study will meet at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall. Each Thursday a different chapter of Verna Dozier’s book The Dream of God, will be discussed. This Lent we are exploring our call to live out God’s dream… “to follow Jesus, not merely to worship him.” For further information or books, please call St. Martin’s at 765-3369.
A new formation opportunity is being offered this fall: discussion on individual topics. The format is designed to take a minimum of one hour. Material that should be read in advance is available either at the church or from Holladay or Gayle.
Discussions schedule so far are: Celtic Christianity: An Introduction on Tuesday, October 28 and Children’s Spirituality on Tuesday, November 11.

Come enjoy our Oktoberfest Dinner on Saturday, October 25 at 6:30 in the Parish Hall! Charleen’s ministry as chef will once again fully evident! Admission is $15/person, $25 per couple. Please sign up at St. Martin’s in advance so Charleen can plan correctly.
The long-awaited book discussion on The Shack by William P. Young is scheduled for October 29, Wednesday from 6 - 7:30 PM at St. Martin’s. Come with your copy and your questions and reflections. If you have not yet read The Shack, it is widely available. In Moses Lake, it can be purchased at Hastings and Wal-Mart.
Theology Pub will meet on Wednesday evening, November 11th, at 6pm at the Pillar Rock Cafe.
On Saturday, November 1, the Youth Group will host the Slime Time Fall Festival fro 1 - 3 PM in the Parish Hall. Children are invited to join in the fund, get a little gooey, and win some prizes. Admission is $2. Proceeds will go to Pamela to help feed the hungry children in her town in Kenya.
On Sunday, October 12, the St. Martin’s Acolytes will be commissioned for their ministry at the 10 AM worship service. The new Acolyte Captain, Bryon Tilson, will also be commissioned. An acolyte training is to be announced, so stay tuned!
Youth Group will come back together on September 28 from 5 - 7 PM at St. Martin’s to begin the new year. The time together will be full with dinner, an activity, and planning for the Harvest Festival and a possible fundraiser for Pamela’s clinic in Kenya.
